Paris Panorama--Early Morning

This is the view to the rear of our apartment in Paris (13th arrondissement), visible from our bedroom and the guest room. We're looking directly north, toward the Place d'Italie (the center of Paris is beyond it); the tallest buildings are between us and the large mall complex known as Italie 2. Below is the Square des Peupliers, a triangle of very narrow streets--doubtless a lovely place to live, though with no views and little light!

We've seen at least a dozen species of birds in the greenery to the lower left during our stays here, although the weather has been so cold lately there haven't been many.

The blip is wide-angle, composed of 3 vertical blips merged in Photoshop using the photomerge tool. It was taken just as the sun was rising over buildings behind us.
