Dreaming of Spring
I bought some peonies at Iso Omena yesterday. The winter continues here very steadyly but flowers at home makes me see spring.
As long as I remember spring has made me feel like I've had some bubbly and want to dance. Our four seasons in Finland are so different compared to each other. There is such a huge contrast between winter and summer. The winter is dark and cold, in the summer there is light almost through 24 hours and it can be quite hot, too.
Spring is a promise of the end of this long winter and life returning to the nature. We are in the mid March now and the summer begins officially the 1st of June. There are only two and a half month for spring to start making its magic.
In this shot the peony is on a book of insects in Finland. For the best view you might want to see this as large.
Today's news: football player David Beckham has been operated on an achilles tendon injury in Turku, Finland. The orthopedist Sakari Orava made the surgery and said that all went very well. Victoria Beckham has also arrived to Turku from Los Angeles to support her husband.
