Basketry

I went to a friend's house this evening to learn some basketry making skills. We're planning on making small shields out of willow for Beltane and so we wanted to see if it was possible and to encounter any problems there may be before we actually come to do it with the group. So far the main problem will be pursuading one of the car owners in the group to transport a bundle of wet withies from my bath to the workshop space.

I actually quite enjoyed it. I may even try and actually make a proper basket at some point!
