Manticore Mantra and the eBay Addiction (Contd.)
This is the latest benefit from my previously stated addiction to eBay trading. Today the postman delivered a 'new' Minolta f1.7 50mm prime lens and I'm looking forward to testing it out over the next few days.
The above statement actually containes a couple of rather misleading words:
'Delivered': not so much delivered as collected, as with many deliveries these days it arrived when nobody was in the house so what I got was the usual card shoved through the letterbox inviting me to go and collect the parcel from the local depot.
'New': not so much new as 'new to me', this particular lens is somewhere between 20 and 25 years old. But they built them to last and other than a few light cosmetic scratches on the barrel it's mecahnically and optically excellent. Pretty much like the f2.8 28mm prime Minolta funded by my earlier eBay sales.
Think I might need to extend the collection further, what else can I sell on eBay? How about the kids? No....I think they would probably come under the category of 'livestock' and eBay won't allow you to sell them!
