Aftermath!

The weather has been a bit kinder to us today. The wind has died down and the sea is a lot calmer than yesterday.

We did have some sleet and snow but nothing settled here which is pretty normal.

After lifeboat training, I went to have a look at the harbour and boat park (apparently footage of what happened yesterday has been on the news today!).

My blip shows the aftermath.

Most of the boats are damaged beyond repair and the boat park is a total mess! There is sand, seaweed, boulders, ripped out barriers and bits of boats all over the place. There is also a massive hole in the ground at the back of the boat park.

It really does show how powerful the sea can be and how we should respect it at all times.
