Highjacked

Tonight we were in St. Albans for a Joan Armatrading concert. Beforehand we had a table booked for a Chinese meal. As our party of ten was shown to the table there was a bottle of champagne sitting there. Nice touch I thought a complimentary bottle for a large booking. That was until David stood up and announced that he and Clare are now engaged and hence the champagne which was soon in our glasses toasting the happy couple.

The concert was great too Joan Armatrading has got a fantastic voice and is a wonderful guitarist giving us a mixture of her old stuff and her latest album. Meeting up in the foyer afterwards, David & Clare were nowhere to be found, we could only surmise they'd rushed off to spend some quality time together.
