Calm Sea and a Prosperous Voyage
A boat becalmed near the Isle of Luing. We took a jaunt over here today, crossing the Bridge over the Atlantic to Seil, then over to Luing on the quirky wee ferry, the MV Campeltown.
Luing is a lovely wee island with the best beach in the world for stone-skipping. Like most of the other island round here, it's a rich source of slate, and the beach at Cullipool is composed almost entirely of sea-smoothed circular slate chips!
I try to visit at least one new Scottish Island a year: Luing was new for me and I'll be back again.
Home tomorrow.
