When we arrived home yesterday, our yard was full of blooms. The ones that surprised me the most were the two Amaryllis blooms. Before we left on vacation, I could see the huge buds on the tall stacks, but I had forgot all about them.
So this morning I stepped out onto the patio to sweep. My camera was in my pocket and the cool of the morning and its light is something I often miss. Because I am so "behind" in my teaching workload, I thought the view from behind seemed appropriate. I'll click their faces in a day or two.
Right now I am at my campus office. The wireless at home is not functioning properly, so I thought I'd upload from here.
Does anyone ever go on vacation and have nothing to do when they return home? That concept is a myth, right? I am ready to meet students tomorrow, but I have dozens of papers to grade, and I feel like my eyes are bulging. So I'm going to be disciplined and do what I am suppose to be doing (and that is not wandering through Blipfoto, as much as I'd like to do that). I'm going to read and mark essays.
It's 1:30 in the afternoon. I hope everyone is having a meaningful Monday. Thanks for all the comments on yesterday's flower fields -- wow!
