Out of Africa

Today we went to the Royal Museum of Central Africa in Tervuren. This museum celebrated its 100th anniversary today by allowing people to visit the museum free of charge. Tervuren is just outside of Brussels and can be reached by a beautiful tramride through the forest.

The museum has a huge collection of objects, including masks, sculptures, paintings and zoological specimens. I took this picture in a room with a mounted giraffe.
