Battery Point

The gun at Battery Point, Fort George, looks out towards Fortrose and the lighthouse on Chanonry Point. The Moray Firth dolphins often play in the current just off the lighthouse.

The Fort itself is home to the Blackwatch, (3rd Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland), Oystercatchers, and many gulls - the latter two like living there rather more than the former, who refer to it as Alcatraz.
