The Victors & Guests: 30 Years Reunion Concert

Held at the 02 ABC in Glasgow tonight, a trip down memory lane. Thanks to Brian McGlynn for organising this, for reforming The Victors and bringing together many who were making music in the city when we were at University, and who still are today.

First up were The Passion Singers, a group which Brian and Graham Bryce had brought together for an event last year.

Next, set with Graeme Duffin, and Tom & James Morton. Enjoyed "Born to Travel" and remembered "City Lights", signature song from events which were run in the city under that name.

The Grand Finale : The Victors, particulary enjoyed "Valley of the Dry Bones", "Days in Arcadia"and their take on Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody". Graeme D, Charlie and Graham B had guest spots during the set.

When the lights went up at the end, we started to recognise friends from way back when who hadn't changed a bit, and others who were in the greying/glasses department. First opportunity to use my new 70-300mm lens. I am pleased with the results.

Top Left : Graeme Duffin and Brian Glynn. Graeme featured on my Blip last week playing with his daughter Esther. Brian was part of the link that led to Graeme joining Wet Wet Wet as lead guitarist.
Top Right : Tom Morton (BBC Radio Scotland) and James Morton on double bass.
Bottom Left : Graham Bryce on guitar and Alan Cameron on keys.
Bottom Middle : Charlie Irvine.
Bottom Right : Graeme Duffin.

Brian is also involved in organising the new Solas Festival, to be held in Scotland, 25-27 June 2010.
