Tourist!
Ahhh - look at that! The weather forecast couldn't have been more wrong. A friend of mine from my Heathrow days arrived yesterday afternoon just as I finished work and so we immediately sat down with bottles of wine and chocolates and caught up on the last three and a half years. Supper out turned into supper in and we didn't leave the flat, which explains the blip-less Friday.
So it was a pleasant surprise to see blue skies and sunshine on Saturday morning and it was best foot forward to get the sightseeing done - taking the usual route, up through the Old Town. I always try and vary things slightly, when people come out, and today I saw the changing of the guard before having a walk through Ogrod Saski for the first time. The flowers were in bloom and the fountains were dancing so it was all rather lovely and I think my guest was suitably impressed!
The evening was spent drinking free-flowing cocktails at a leaving (house) party I was invited to a while back. First in their garden and then as darkness fell, in their basement bar. They'd hired bartenders and it was fab! We of course couldn't go home without Liza experiencing the Warsaw nightlife, so we went out for a few more hours...
