Elevation

Mt. Eden. The highest bit of land in Auckland. It's a volcanic mound, with a huge 50-metre deep crater which you are supposed to stay out of, but the well used footpaths say otherwise. There's a loop trail around the edge of the crater and many smaller hills to climb and take in the majestic views of the city and beyond. (That last one is my late postcard assignment BTW).

I'm sure I didn't pick the best shot to blip here but there were so many and that was the mood I was in when I chose.

So the final round of the regular season is upon us. Warriors play tonight in about 15 minutes. They are currently holding 4th spot and a win will guarantee that position going into the playoffs (which means at least the first round of playoffs will be a home game). We are playing the Panthers who are fighting to get off the wooden spoon (last spot--worst team) so they have some pride to play for and we're actually nervous it might be a close game. It would be so like the Warriors to go and lose this last one against the spoon. We'll see. Wish them luck.
