And so as the day draws closer, I cherish every last moment at school.
We spend the late afternoon at Mary's house (enjoying some time with the boys along with SATC, homemade organic pizza and Riesling) and I pick up her old point and shoot which she's been using to photograph son Alexander with a flash. I show her that there's some lovely diffused light in her living room and by trying different ISOs and apertures, we can get a good shot without the flash, from the grainiest to the finest, finding the catchlight in the eyes. This a quick handheld SP, Aged 41, to demonstrate. And it was a learning experience for me too: avoiding that awful wide angle distortion in portraits with a PAS. I wasn't ready to be in a pic, it's been an extremely tiring week for me by myself with the boys, school, nursing Reuben, hospital, therapy, all the family shoots and editing, but after some too quick PSE facelifting, it's not so bad (though I'll probably do a better editing job someday).
My last SP.
Technical question: I was horrified to see how c* my colours looked on other people's computers as opposed to my iMac. It was as if a glass of water had been thrown over them. I love d/s images but not when I painstakingly work to pop the colours in certain pics. I tested some other blipper's (random) pics on Blipfoto and I guess they looked washed out too on the other computers. Can anyone explain thanks (saved as Adobe RGB)
