East Farleigh bridge

I decided to pop out to get some fresh air and take some photos. East Farleigh is a couple of miles from here which is good because when I got there the camera told me that the batteries were flat. Came home, restocked on power and went back.

The bridge was built in the 14th century and is thought to be the oldest in south east England. It's still used every day. The bridge crosses the river Medway at the tail of Farleigh lock.

A few yards from the northern end of the bridge is East Farleigh railway station and level crossing - another source of delay for motorists.

I've uploaded some more photos of the area on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/nogbad/sets/72157624049471127/)
