Teaching Garden

I have not the time or expertise to start my own garden beds from scratch this year. I was thrilled to learn of a new organization in our area that started a teaching garden a 10 minute drive from my house. There are only a few students and a dedicated teacher. I am really enjoying the opportunity to learn without having to build a deer, rabbit, and ground hog-proof enclosure.

Bob and I picked up Pearl this afternoon. The first words out of his mouth were: "Mom, that's the skinniest cat I have ever seen!" So true, so true. She is only 5 pounds and the 4 kittens who have still been trying to nurse her are about 2 pounds each. As one of my technician's directed me, "Chub her up!" Will do.
