Apostrophe Catastrophe
A balmy morning spent scouting for new gear in Princes Street had much the same outcome as Lady Findhorn had yesterday; lots bought, all looked awful, so will be going back next week. Meanwhile I'll put up with the same-old-same-old wardrobe until the winter.
After a fair amount of time spent in the afternoon in sultry temperatures playing tennis, I then got spruced up to go to Zanzero for some dinner. By then the heavens had opened and the thunder rumbled in unison with my stomach.
St Stephen Street is home to the Proper "Tea" Shop; forget the inverted commas, why the apostrophes? If I paid good money to a banner company, I would hope that the staff had been sufficiently educated in the misuse of this tiny mark.
