30,000 ft flare...
Gizmodo had a shooting challenge this week to capture lens flare so this was my attempt. I took this on my flight to Charleston this morning at about 5:43am. Its actually funny as, try as I might, I couldn't for the life of me get any flare to show up using the modern Panasonic 20mm/1.7 lens. However, as soon as I switched to my vintage Pen 40mm/1.4 lens... I got flare galore! Including this particular shot where I got crazy pentagon shaped flare throughout (the shape of the aperture blades when stopped down).
SHOT NOTES: Pen 40/1.4 @ f16. No other modifications.
EDIT: Sweet! I got best vintage flare with this entry!
