They Love #UTG

Union Terrace Gardens, a park in the centre of Aberdeen, is under threat from development and today there was a mass picnic held in the gardens so that people could show how much they valued them ... despite fairly dull weather, there was a great turnout and the atmosphere was really good with live music and a great cross section of the city & surrounds represented. Strolling around after my picnic, this little grouping of placards really stood out for me - that people are dedicated enough to take the time to make these and then go and stand with them gives me great hope that the gardens may yet be saved in spite of the City Council's desire to destroy them.
