From the North

Black waters and the white light

This is Sokeelampi (Lake Blind in English), a lake in Urjala, Finland. On the first day of our camp the sky was bit cloudy and it rained afternoon. I took this shot before the rain when the horizon was dark and bright at the same time.

The name Sokeelampi (Lake Blind) comes from an old legend that says a blind girl drowned in the lake a long time ago. It's said that her wraith lives in the lake and haunts there at midnight - and catches reckless swimmers but I did not see her. Little spooky, I think, 'cause the waters are deep and dark.
