Homecroft

We have left Grandma and Grandad's for a couple of days to travel down to Kent and visit Dad's Uncle Roger and his family. We were last here in September for Claire's wedding. They were very surprised at the difference in me! There is a lovely garden at Homecroft, and I had a nice time pottering around in it looking for daisies and playing with stones.

Auntie Diane pointed out that I am the fifth generation of the family to be in this house. It was built around 1930 and Dad's Grandma's Dad bought it soon after. Great-great-grandad worked for a brewery in London, and every year the firm took employees on a bus trip to the country. One year they went to Otford and Great-great-grandad liked it so much he decided to live there. A builder had just built Homecroft, but his wife didn't like it so he sold it to Great-great-grandad.
