Mt Cook
Oh dear, I am a sucker for landscapes. Todays theme was roads, given that we took 7.5 hours to drive a 4.5 hour trip. It was an awesome trip actually, fantastic weather and unlike my usual trip through the central South Island I stopped frequently for the kids. We did ice creams, lunched on top of dams, fed salmon in salmon farms, and as the sun was setting arrived at our destination. Great day!
But my road theme got sidelined in the final edit for an awesome shot of Mt Cook. I have shot this before on blip, but today was THE day to see it. Lake Pukaki in the foreground is rarely calm, so to have this reflection is outstanding.
Nice start to the holiday ;-)
