A handy pastoral scene
In one of the few moments I lifted my head from my desk today. I stuck my head and my camera out the window and was rewarded with a rather nice evening light. I'm damn lucky really, to have a fall back blip view like this.
In the spring this field looked like this. In late summer it had turned gold. Now its ready to harvest but the weather has been so wet over the past couple of weeks that it's still not done.
They got it partially cut but the straw's been lying like that for ages and part of the barley still isn't cut. I hope it dries up so that they can finish harvesting. It'll go all soggy soon I expect.
