Orange Birthday Fever

Well, Holland's made it to the World Cup Final and will be facing Spain on 11 July 2010... Almost there!!

It's my 32nd birthday today and I had to work 7am to 7pm. Sean was the first one to wish me happy birthday and spoilt me with beautiful ear rings and hiking shoes. The A&E unit's nursing staff were absolute sweethearts: they organised LOTS of stuff to eat and drink and gave me a gift voucher for a full day at the spa!

They even arranged with my family to come around over lunch time to join in the birthday "party". My dad arrived with a makarapa (the decorated soccer hard hat) in the Holland colours, in support of my adopted team:)

I had so many phone calls, sms messages and personal greetings... it made me remember how blessed I am to have so many wonderful, caring people in my life every single day. It also reminded me that they are all God-sent and should never be taken for granted!

This birthday has been a truly happy one!!
