Soldering On.

Got all the bits I need to solder the silver parts of my Sgian Dubh.
Gas torch to heat the silver & solder.
2 different melting point solders.
Borax flux - to prevent oxidisation and ingress of impurities during heating.
Asbestos substitute soldering block.
'Pickle' salts - to remove oxides and staining from the silver once it is soldered.
Plastic tongs to lift items from the acid pickle.
I will do the soldering tomorrow I hope.
