Mask

This is one of several masks I bought in an amazing shop in Barcelona during annual visits a few years ago.

Imagine walking into a room covered floor to ceiling with these beautiful handmade creations, all of which were different.

As I browsed, the lady in the shop said, "Please try one on. They are for festivals."

I told her that I live in Wales and that we don't generally have the occasion to wear this sort of thing.

It seems a shame that this amazing piece of work hangs on a wall.

Sometimes I wish I lived in a place where people wore masks in the street.
