Loanhead of Daviot Recumbent Stone Circle
Today's shot is of a recumbent stone circle, named for the big horizontal stone in the centre of this shot, it dates from 5,000 years ago and is one of many in this part of Aberdeenshire. This one is easily accessible, just North of the hamlet of Daviot. It is in a small wood but has great views East and North ... with another recumbent stone circle, New Craig, visible just across the parks.
