An unforgettable day

What a fantastic day! What a wonderful meeting! Today I went to Helsinki to meet Catherine and her boys (including Jason, Catherine's husband). They were on a short visit in Helsinki. Tonight they are on their way to Stockholm.

I drove to Helsinki to meet this wonderful family to the Senate square. When I walked towards the place where we were supposed to meet and I immediately spotted them.

That was a moment i will never forget in my life. Reuben ran straight into my arms and I lifted him up in my lap and we hugged each other for a long while. What an amazing moment! Tears came to my eyes, I felt so incredibly moved.

So I met Catherine and her family for the first time. We have been in contact with Catherine through blip and e-mails. I instantly felt like I known her all my life. Also Jason, who was so open and kind. Both of the boys, Reuben and Callum amazed me all day with their energy and positivity. So much warmth and love in these very genuine people!

So we spent about five hours together and talked of many things. We also had very fun. So fun that they almost missed their cruise ship. It was a question of minutes for them to catch the ship. I drove them there but didn't first find the right harbor. So my legs were shaking when we finally got were we were supposed to.

This has truly been a memorable day. Thank you Catherine, Jason, Reuben and Callum! I really do hope that we shall meet again!
