The even sunnier north
Taken from a train window heading up the East Coast; north of York and as you can see lovely blue skies. When we came back from our last visit to Scotland in May the kids declared they wanted to live there, "because it's always sunny and you can go to the beach every day." Did our best to disabuse them of the fantasy but if these blue skies continue they probably won't believe us.
Oh well, losing the trust of your kids is a small price to pay for a sunny weekend. Though we have, of course, packed for all weathers. And we're hardly coming north of the border for the weather. Really it's just the company. We're destined for the new temporary abode of SooB and clan and it's fair to say we're all quite excited.
Happy Friday!

EDIT: change of picture - even further north, possibly even over the border, and skies are even bluer and temp seems to be rising. This is such a beautiful coastline. Apols to those who've commented on the first picture but I couldn't resist the blueness of the sky and the sea. I even risked holding the iPhone out of the speeding train window.
