Picking up the broken pieces...
...and making beauty of what could be tossed.
My friend Anne & I have been talking about this for years, but it has taken years to collect the broken pieces we used to decorate her cement firepit. We started about 10am and about 5 this is how far we got. The sun was penetrating today. We walked in and out of the pool and drank Gatorade. I still came home red faced and tired. But refreshed at the same time, I love being creative.
The circumference of the pit is 134", so we have a ways to go. But we put a little dent in it. We got the sun's face, the focal point of the mosaic. And after throwing back and forth ideas, I think we have figured out the look we are going for. It is a process.
Process, just like life...just like relationships, broken pieces, put back together, will NEVER look the same, but we can make beauty from the pieces if we choose to! I am choosing beauty!!!
Have a nice weekend!
*Can you find Anne, tEE & 2010? It is there!
