Viking

Admiring the vehicles on show at the Garioch Vehicle Restoration Society Rally in Oldmeldrum today, the little mascot on this 1939 Rover 10 caught my eye.

Rover supposedly picked a Viking as their emblem on the basis that Vikings were "rovers" , and of course they went on to use a Viking longship as their emblem before their eventual demise.

If you look closely at the shot you can see the underside of the Viking's chin reflected in the chrome (along with some bunting and me too).
