At EC 20 we have a condenser cleaning system that works with small sponge balls which can be pumped through the condenserpipes and can be caught back with adjustable strainers.
Part of that system has been fitted with unmaterial (pumps and so on) from the new units (EC 3-7)'auxiliary cooling system where it became superfluous.
But a big part of the EC 20 system is too old so we are planning to remove the system and replace the strainers by dummys.
But now a lead-through of a shaft was beginnig to leak more and more so we decided to use some scaffolding material to secure the thing before it would blow off (most of the bolts were broken already). Through the big green pipe flows 9.5 cubic meters of water per second (9.5 tonnes per second.)
Here Eddy and Pieter are putting the scaffolding pipe with homemade struts into place.
