Ivy and drain

Tonight the Margaretting Beer Festival begins! With the boys away for the weekend, I indulge heartily in locally brewed Essex ciders, downed to the sounds of the folk band.

I happened upon this old drain in my sister Geraldine's garden in the deepest Essex countryside, finding beauty in the trio of ivy leaves, the juxtaposition of lush organic veiny growth and ferrous rusting.
