Treasured Keepsake

This is the box containing Athena's ashes. We finally had an evening at home, with her ashes, to hold her "wake" and to remember her.

We had a meal specially prepared to remind us of her - tuna (which was her favourite food) and mashed potato (white and fluffy like she was) for first course and white chocolate ice cream with one blue smartie and one green smartie for decoration to represent her gorgeous eyes for afters. All washed down with white wine, of course!

It was lovely to take some time to remember her. She's still very much missed, even with the excitement of Smudge's arrival and Dexter's arrival planned for September.

Her ashes are now living in our bedroom, with a small fluffy white toy cat sitting on top!
