Smoke on Water

I never seem to be up and about in time to make the most of the recent foggy mornings.

This morning, I was lucky. Even though the fog had cleared up in most places, when I got to Salford Quays, it quickly intensified as it seemed to want to cling to the canal basins.

This photo is obviously inspired by Chaos's blip of yesterday, which was amazing.

Again, this could pass as an assignment shot. The urban foggy texture is very typical of this time of year - a combination of the wet days and the sudden changes in temperature.
