"Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek & find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it."
~Rumi

While that may take awhile, lately I've been taking small steps in the right direction. Last night I went to see Inception, alone. That was a first for me. I like to get a big group of friends together to catch movies, but most of my friends had seen this one already and all of them told me it was good and I had to see it. Great movie, by the way. So I did go to the theatre. I'm glad I did, I think it'd lose something on DVD. It was a bit like Avatar in that I walked out of the movie not wanting to leave that world behind, I was so enthralled by the experience of it. Lovely escape.

Then today I went out to a steakhouse for lunch solo. It is weird to eat lunch alone surrounded by people, but not too horrible. It is silly in a way that eating out alone bothers me so much. I can't explain it and I'm trying to get past it, but it's more difficult than rational.

I'm not sure of the title of this one, but it reminds me a bit of Van Gogh, one of my favorite artists. A Starry Night-ish if you will. It appeals to me in a way I can't quite describe. I do adore it and am hoping that this more distant view gives it the impact I think it deserves, as calvininjax suggested earlier this month.

This particular horse was across the street from the steakhouse, though the street is actually a major interstate (US 27) winding through our humble city. So I went with the zoom. It came out better than I thought it would. My camera isn't really built for distance or for close-ups, but it tries. :) Oh it tries.

The others in the series are here: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX.
