First shawl done

After hearing the great news of the safe arrival of our new pal malootkie last week I had really to get my skates on and finish the shawl. Have just sewed up the seam, washed it and pinned out the peaks. (It would have looked better for the photo if I'd found a non-black towel to pin it to, I now realise).

Hoping to meet the wee man soon. He hasn't got a name yet - malootkie is a Polish approximation for wee man, we're told. And actually he's huge, almost ten pounds when he emerged. That's approximately 4.5 kilos - an eye-watering weight in any units!
