We took our friend, Mandy, to the Wall today, and it poured, all day, without actually stopping. This is quite a feat for Beijing. So although we couldn't do much walking, it was very atmospheric, with the wall appearing through breaks in cloud, and crowds of bright rain macs and umbrellas. You've got to admire the dedication of everyone who visited- but then again, it is the Great Wall of China.

Went to see the acrobats in the evening, which was as breathtaking as ever. Chris and I have now been 3 times, and it never ceases to amaze. What was even better was watching Mandy's expression- open-mouthed, with an occasional glance to me of 'they're not really going to do that, are they?'. Oh yes, they really are.
