Autumn SP

As expected, last night's encounter turned into a very long one. I got the NiteLink bus home at 3.30 am, feeling just a little bit sorry for myself. Mind you, it was a great night. We ate in Bang Café (too pricey for what we had, really, and didn't score at all highly in terms of presentation, even if the tastes were okay), and went on from there to a wine bar, sake bar and late-night regular bar. All the problems of our little world were solved, of course -- hence the early-morning NiteLink.

Despite all this, the old head wasn't complaining too much this morning, and I had no problem turning up for the Music Group session which today involved a viewing of the complete Glinka opera Ruslan and Lyudmilla on DVD to mark the 150th anniversary of the composer's death. Bernard, our host, treated us to food and drink between acts 3 and 4 and afterwards, and then suddenly it was time to dash up the road to the nearby St Anne's Park to catch the late evening sun and grab a quick blip.

Tomorrow we're gathering at 3.00 pm for lunch and a viewing of the Brazilian Grand Prix, the last, make or break, race of the season. All in all, a bit of a hectic weekend. It's just as well I don't have a busy week ahead of me.
