No, the moon is actually still in near ecliptic orbit around the earth.

I had this one on 15 second shutter thing-y that I fathomed a few minutes before, however I was yet to realise that when the screen reaches 0 there is still 1 second left... so now the moon is going to crash into the earth everyone.
