Sometimes I Bite...

Yesterday, back-blipped - please have a look, I love the photo!

Ben went on a big boy swing today on his own for the first time. He liked it a lot! He then tried to point to the other swing, to say that it was a swing as well, and let go with one hand, and nearly fell backwards... grabbed hold of the chain just in time, well done Ben!

Packed up this morning. Wasn't nearly as cold last night as it was the night before, but even so we lit the stove to warm the tent up this morning as we got dressed. And it was another early morning - and again my body clock has felt like it's been out by a couple of hours all day! Getting hungry at the wrong times and not realising why...

The men were going to cycle home from the campsite. But, when it was discovered that this would be off-road and would take at least 4.5 hours, it was decided that we would drive to a slightly closer starting point and drop them off there. Even so I have been told that they cycled for about an hour and a half and then the fella who was training for the London to Brighton OFF ROAD bike ride got told to go on ahead as Steve and another guy were already flagging. This guy is training for the OFF ROAD L2B bike ride?!! Good grief. Anyway. By the time Steve got home I'd unloaded the car, fed Ben and myself, been shopping and had got dinner on the go. Steve was amazed. Don't understand why, I am supermummy after all.

Decided to defrost the fridge tonight so I've unloaded the contents of the fridge into the coolbox (jury-rigged up to a laptop power supply so it'll stay cold!) but sadly the other half of the cheesecake that I bought for pudding today wouldn't fit.

Such a shame, eh. ;)

Just waiting for Ben to wake up now. He fell asleep on Steve while I was in the bath... oops... fully clothed, several-hour-old nappy still on... Going to be loud when he wakes up and wonders why he's fully dressed and lying on our bed.

Have just remembered why I called this "Sometimes I bite". Ben has taken to biting his sleeve, near his wrist. I think he is teething again, and the biting helps. But for some reason today he has managed to bite his hand. Hard enough to make himself cry! And not just once either, he's gone it at least 3 times that I'm aware of just today. You'd think he'd learn, really.
