Protruding out...

I've often wondered what this was - nature has obviously taken its toll on the original structure. Made of wood, it sticks out into Chichester Harbour - was it a jetty?

Anyway, it was a lovely evening to walk along one of my favourite routes around the Harbour. In fact I was quite put out earlier this year when the FT named it as one of the best winter walks in the UK... the secret's out!
