The heron

Such a lovely day today! We went for a walk in Bushy park and saw the heron as we often do but not always this close!
Looks like Gulli's gerbil Snowball will be taking a last visit to the vet today, I have tried to prime him but I'm sure he's going to be really sad :-( she is about 2 and hasn't responded to the medicine for an ear infection which means it's a tumour and there's nothing they can do, she is still eating and responding to being called but looks a bit ropier each day and we don't want to leave it till it's really bad... she has one eye closed and now has an angry looking sore by her ear... oh dear!
