Just need a toad

No idea what kind of mushroom this is but it was pretty large. The cap was the size of an average man's hand with the fingers splayed out. I found it near the York Lanes Garage at York University in Toronto where I work. This large mushroom had a smaller buddy less than a metre away. Anybody know the details on this fungus? Looks edible, but that may be misleading. It did, however, look plenty large enough for a toad to sun on.

Another blipped mushroom: Fungus, or is it Fungi?
