Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Time from a Distance

The pendulum captured in yesterday's photo and the glass door on the clock caused everything to reflect in a mirror image. It looked backward from the reality of the room we see as we stand here. So today I looked at the clock from the perspective of the lace covered oak table.

The table and the entire room is decorated with beautiful items that have, for the most part, been given to us . . . family heirlooms and treasures. The grandfather's clock built by Mr. Fun's grandfather is just to the left of the fireplace. Many of the items in this room come with stories of their own.

Today we did more than breathe, which is about all we did yesterday. This was a meaningful day with our grandson and our son-in-law as we all went together early this morning to the Apple Store so Emerson, our grandson, could get a new iPod. I took numerous photos and finally captured a few good ones of Emerson with Grandpa Fun that will go in the family gallery.

But photos to complement yesterday's story seem appropriate for today's blip-page.

I have something just short of a zillion student papers to grade, so I need to make my exit from Blip to continue reading and commenting.

Good night from an extremely hot Southern California.
