Turnbull Beauty

What a lovely morning spent with our son M of The Goose and the Gander over in Cheney Washington. It's located east of the Cascade mountain range almost to the Idaho border and just south of Spokane. Goose was doing a workout session back at the apt---she will be going to her first graduate school classes on Monday.

Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge is located just five miles south of Cheney and is a 17,000 acre refuge for all sorts of animals and has several lakes with lovely grasses and other vegetation. Some animals that can be spotted are grebes, hawks, shorebirds, deer, coyote, owls, badgers, herons, and occasionally bald eagles. We saw some Red winged blackbirds and several varieties of ducks and lovely grasslands. My son Gander did catch me shooting a blip go here

I chose this one because it is so representational of this fantastic area. And most definitely we plan to return for more explorations in the future. Best of all, the kids are here and make such great host to bunk down with:)
