Traveller's Rest

It's been an interesting time since joining blipfoto.

Just some of things that have been discovered since 21 June 2010 (in no particular order)...

* The everyday is amazing.
* I am not about to begin a love affair with flash photography.
* Try and get a clean glass in Cairo.
* The camera has absolutely nothing to do with it.
* It's not that bad.
* I found out how to fix my clock.
* People hustle chess in the street.
* Sante Fe is a strange place where they change your mind.
* There were a lot of greenfly in Scotland this summer and everything went a little bit hectic and...and...I smiled a lot.
* I still cannot work out the mystery of York city centre.
* I learned how to use spices sparingly and ate amazing things.
* The M4 looks better after five minutes.
* Old guitars are still the best.
* Old bass players are better.
* With a camera in your hand you can blag your way to just about anywhere.
* Flowers can be interesting.
* Photography is just as intriguing, fascinating and compulsive today as it was when I got my first 'proper' camera 25 years ago.
* There can be happy days.

I could go on and on. I won't. Suffice to say that all of the above came from blip via images or comments or thoughts as a direct result of them.

In brief...thank you ever so much for uploading, looking, commenting and for helping to change things.
