Boerenkool

A traditional Dutch winterdish. Although we added some chorizo sausage to it.

Apparently boerenkool (which is both the name of the vegetable and the dish in Dutch) is called Kale Hash in English. It's made from kale, potatoes, bacon and is servered with rookworst (smoked sausage). Perfect for those cold evenings.

A short incomplete recipe:

1. Boil potatoes with some added salt.
2. Add kale (just the leafy parts) on top of the potatoes after about 10 min.
3. Put the rookworst on top op the kale
4. Fry some bits of bacon (and possibly some chorizo)
5. Once the potatoes are cooked, rmeove the sausage, add the bacon and mash everything up with a stamper.
6. Serve the boerenkool stamppot with the sausage.
