Flight

I was taking photos of my neighbour's tree being dismantled bit by bit by a tree surgeon in a mini crane, thinking one of the shots would be my blip for the day. The tree is a very old and beautiful ash tree and it's a bit of an occasion for it to come down. Ceremonial, one might say. Before you scream why destroy a beautiful old tree, it has to come down as it is becoming dangerous.

Anyway, I looked up to see these pigeons on their daily exercise flight. There's a pigeon coop quite near us and twice a day there is an aerobatic display courteousy of the flock. Today there was a criss cross made by passing planes, which supplied a slightly more interesting backdrop. I could have done with a faster shutter speed, however it is what it is. I'll know better next time!
