Fings wot I see

Koto-In

Today we want to Daitoku Ji, a world of raked zen gardens and wandering lanes.
It's a cloister of 24 Buddhist temples, built in 1319 and then rebuilt after fire in the 16th century.
It is the first truly tranquil place we've visited, the absence of clammering tourists was palpable. We decided to shell out 400 yen to spend a couple hours in Koto-In, The home and garden of Sen No Rikyu the famous tea master. We had it pretty much to ourselves and it was a beautiful place. We sat in front of the moss lawn and listened to the birds singing in the bamboo forest that surrounded us...Then we hunted for blips!

This is the tea room, which is 400 years old, and this is the view adjacent to it.

Here's Ruby's blip today of part of the garden.
